New York Governor Kathy Hochul confirmed that the earthquake was felt across the state. In a statement, she mentioned, “My team is assessing impacts and any damage that may have occurred, and we will update the public throughout the day.”
Deputy Mayor of New York City Fabien Levy noted that there have been no significant reports of the earthquake’s effects on the city. However, the quake’s impact on surrounding areas is still being evaluated.
