A Pakistani woman, Natasha Danish, has come under intense scrutiny after being filmed smiling and issuing threats following a tragic accident in which her SUV killed two people. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and controversy in Pakistan.
On August 19, Natasha Danish, the wife of prominent businessman Danish Iqbal, was involved in a devastating crash on Karachi’s Karsaz Road. According to reports, Danish’s Toyota Land Cruiser struck several motorbikes and pedestrians, resulting in the deaths of a father and daughter and injuries to at least three others. The vehicle first collided with a motorcycle, then hit two more before overturning and crashing into a parked car.
The aftermath of the accident was captured in videos that have since gone viral online. In the footage, Natasha, who appears dazed but smiling, is surrounded by a large crowd. Despite the gravity of the situation, she is seen making threats and asserting her influence. One video shows her saying, “Tum mere baap ko nahi jantay” (you don’t know who my father is), as she is shielded by security personnel.
Local media, including Bol News and Dawn, reported that Natasha initially appeared intoxicated, though these claims have not been officially confirmed. Following the accident, there were attempts to prevent her from fleeing the scene, with bystanders reportedly restraining her until authorities arrived.
Despite the serious nature of the incident, Natasha was not presented in court by the police. Her lawyer, Amir Mansub, claimed that she was undergoing treatment for mental health issues at Jinnah Hospital. However, MM News reports that hospital records indicate Natasha was discharged as fit after medical evaluations, with no immediate psychiatric intervention deemed necessary.
The case has sparked significant public outcry, with many accusing the authorities of attempting to shield Natasha due to her connections and status. The incident has ignited a debate over accountability and the influence of wealth in the legal system.
As the investigation continues, the public and media remain vigilant, calling for justice for the victims and transparency in the handling of the case.
