Pakistan Conducts Successful Training Launch of Shaheen-II Ballistic Missile

The Pakistani military has successfully conducted a training launch of its Shaheen-II ballistic missile, according to a statement released by the army on Tuesday. This launch is part of ongoing efforts to train troops, validate technical parameters, and evaluate the performance of the missile’s various sub-systems.

The Shaheen-II, a surface-to-surface ballistic missile, was tested to assess improvements in accuracy and survivability. Senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division and the Army Strategic Forces Command, along with scientists and engineers from strategic organizations, observed the launch. The Director General of the Strategic Plans Division praised the technical expertise and dedication of the scientists involved in this achievement.

Following the successful test, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, and other service chiefs extended their congratulations to the team of scientists and engineers for their accomplishments.

In addition to the Shaheen-II launch, Pakistan had earlier conducted a successful training launch of the Fateh-II Guided Rocket System in May, which has a range of 400 kilometers. This launch also aimed to enhance the capabilities and operational readiness of Pakistan’s strategic forces.
