The earthquake struck at 3:48 pm, pinpointed at 33.41 degrees North latitude and 76.70 degrees East longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers. Fortunately, no immediate reports of casualties or property damage have emerged.
Following the initial quake, two aftershocks, measuring 4.8 and 3.8 in intensity, were recorded at 4:01 pm, as confirmed by the NCS.
Simultaneously, another seismic event, registering a 3.6 magnitude, was reported in Jammu and Kashmir at 4:18 pm. The tremor, with a depth of 10 kilometers beneath the surface, occurred in the Kishtwar district, specifically located at 33.37 degrees latitude and 76.57 degrees longitude, according to the earthquake monitoring agency.
Despite the series of seismic activities, there have been no immediate reports of injuries or damage to property. The NCS continues to monitor the situation closely, ensuring comprehensive surveillance of earthquake occurrences within the region.
