The army issued a statement saying, “An explosion of munitions occurred on a military base in southern Israel. The incident is under investigation,” indicating that the cause of the blast is being examined. The injured soldiers are currently receiving medical treatment.
Reports from Israeli media specified that the explosion occurred at a base situated in the Negev Desert, highlighting the location of the incident. The timing of the explosion coincides with ongoing military operations by the Israeli army against Hamas following an attack initiated by Hamas from Gaza on October 7.
