The Israel-Hamas conflict has unleashed scenes of unimaginable horror, with reports emerging that over 40 babies have tragically lost their lives amid the violence. Israel-based i24 News brought to light the heartbreaking details of the impact of the Hamas attack on Israel, a situation that has left many soldiers traumatized.
As soldiers were called up for reserve service and arrived on the frontlines, they were confronted with scenes beyond imagination. Some soldiers recounted finding babies with their heads severed, and entire families mercilessly gunned down in their own beds. The toll on innocent young lives has been devastating, with approximately 40 babies and young children having been taken out on gurneys, as reported by i24 News.
The conflict, which began when Hamas launched a barbaric ‘surprise attack’ on Israel on October 7, has had devastating consequences. At least 900 Israelis have been killed, and more than 2,600 people have been injured in the relentless violence.
Recent developments have shed light on the grim reality of the conflict. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) took international journalists to Kfar Azza, a kibbutz located near the border, where approximately 70 residents fell victim to the ruthless attack by Hamas terrorists, as reported by the Times of Israel.
IDF Major General Itai Veruv expressed his shock at the harrowing scenes witnessed during the conflict, describing it not as a war but as a massacre. He spoke of the heart-wrenching sight of babies, along with their mothers and fathers, in their homes and protected spaces, all of whom had fallen victim to the terrorists’ violence.
Veruv’s sentiments were echoed as he stated, “It’s something that I never saw in my life…We used to imagine our grandmothers and grandfathers during the pogroms in Europe. It’s not something that we have seen in recent history.”
As part of its retaliation against Hamas, Israel launched an extensive offensive against the terror organization’s targets in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Air Force conducted airstrikes on various terrorist targets throughout the Gaza Strip in a bid to curb the aggression.
In response to the escalating conflict, Israel mobilized a significant number of troops. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had mobilized an astonishing 300,000 reservists within a span of just 48 hours, highlighting the urgency and seriousness of the situation.
IDF also confirmed that it had regained control over the border with the Gaza Strip, marking a significant development 72 hours after Hamas terrorists breached sections of the barrier, leading to an invasion that resulted in the tragic loss of over 1,000 Israeli lives through death and kidnapping.
The Israel-Hamas conflict continues to unfold with devastating consequences, as the world watches in disbelief at the heart-wrenching toll it has taken on innocent lives, particularly the youngest and most vulnerable.
