Ukraine’s air defense forces successfully intercepted 110 out of 177 drones launched by Russia during a massive overnight assault, the country’s Air Force reported on Wednesday.
According to the statement, an additional 66 drones were “lost,” likely due to electronic warfare measures that disrupted their flight paths. The large-scale attack highlights the ongoing intensity of Russia’s aerial offensives against Ukraine, as well as the resilience of Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.
Details regarding the specific locations targeted by the drone assault and any potential damage or casualties are yet to be confirmed. Ukrainian authorities have been ramping up their air defense systems to counter frequent Russian drone and missile attacks, which have intensified in recent months.
