In a recent incident that raised eyebrows and attracted widespread attention on social media, the Noida Police arrested four individuals following a video that depicted them celebrating a birthday party in the middle of a road in Sector 1 of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The disruptive event took place near the Birla Institute of Technology on a Sunday night.
The viral video captured several men gathered around a cot placed directly on the road’s surface, adorned with multiple birthday cakes. In a scene that created chaos and posed risks to commuters, these individuals obstructed the flow of traffic as numerous vehicles attempted to navigate through the impromptu celebration. The men, seemingly in an inebriated state, added to the disturbance by igniting firecrackers, as revealed in the video.
Passersby were quick to document the unusual spectacle, capturing photos and videos that were subsequently shared on various social media platforms. Responding to the viral video, a team from the Phase 1 police station promptly reached the location to address the situation.
The Police Commissionerate Gautam Buddh Nagar’s official Twitter account acknowledged the incident and posted, ”In the said case, police station Phase-1 arrested 04 people and took preventive action.” Accompanying this statement was an image with the faces of the men blurred to protect their identities. The swift response from the authorities garnered appreciation from the public, with one user expressing gratitude for the rapid action taken.
This incident is not an isolated occurrence in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In a similar incident that took place in July of the same year, Gautam Buddha Nagar police apprehended four individuals for engaging in a similar disruptive celebration, complete with fireworks and cake cutting, on an elevated road in the sector-24 police area.
In a noteworthy incident from the previous year, 21 individuals were arrested, along with eight luxury cars, for celebrating a birthday party on an elevated road in Ghaziabad. The partygoers were seen cutting a cake on the hood of a car while blaring loud music, and their actions drew ire from fellow commuters who were inconvenienced by the traffic disruption.
Such incidents serve as reminders of the need for responsible and considerate behavior in public spaces to ensure the safety and convenience of all citizens on the roadways. The swift response of law enforcement in these cases underscores the commitment to maintaining order and safety in the region.
