The National Investigation Agency (NIA) executed raids at 14 locations spread across Punjab and Haryana as part of its ongoing investigation into the attacks on the Indian Consulate in San Francisco earlier this year. The operation aimed to unravel the full conspiracy surrounding the incidents that occurred on March 19 and July 2, involving offenses such as criminal trespass, vandalism, damage to public property, and attempts to harm consulate officials while initiating arson.
The targeted locations, spanning districts in Punjab including Moga, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, Mohali, and Patiala, along with Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar in Haryana, were subjected to thorough scrutiny by NIA officials.
According to an official spokesperson, the raids resulted in the confiscation of digital data containing crucial information related to the individuals suspected to be involved in the attacks. Additionally, other incriminating documents were seized during the crackdown.
The NIA has been relentless in its pursuit to identify and prosecute those responsible for these violent assaults on the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. The agency’s efforts aim to convey a resolute message against anti-Indian elements involved in such acts of aggression.
