A nine-year-old boy from Thailand, Napat Mitmakorn, has taken the tattooing world by storm with his extraordinary skills. Nicknamed “Knight,” the young artist has been making waves after making his public debut at the Thailand Tattoo Expo, where he impressed visitors with his intricate designs inspired by Hindu and Thai mythology.
A Unique Start in Tattooing
Napat’s journey into the world of tattoos began in an unusual way. His father, Nattawut Sangtong, introduced him to tattooing as a way to divert his attention from online gaming, which had become an addiction. Sangtong, 38, an amateur tattoo artist and block printing factory worker, told the South China Morning Post that he encouraged his son to take up tattooing as a creative and engaging activity.
The young artist first learned the craft by watching tattooing tutorials on TikTok and practicing on paper. Gradually, he moved on to artificial leather before finally gaining the confidence to ink real skin—starting with family members who trust his abilities.
From TikTok to the Tattoo Expo
Napat and his father have since created a social media presence, showcasing their skills on a TikTok channel named The Tattoo Artist with Milk Teeth. Through this platform, they have gained attention for their remarkable talent and dedication.
Despite his young age, Napat’s talent stood out among 200 professional tattoo artists at the Thailand Tattoo Expo. At the event, he demonstrated his skills by tattooing his uncle, Naruebet Chonlatachaisit, who expressed full confidence in the boy’s abilities. “I trust him, and I think he’ll only improve,” Naruebet said.
A Passion for Art and Meditation
Sangtong revealed that his son’s love for art played a crucial role in his rapid learning process. “It’s not just tattooing; it’s like meditation,” he said, explaining that Napat practices for two hours every three days a week under his father’s guidance.
As his story gains attention worldwide, Napat Mitmakorn continues to perfect his craft, leaving many in awe of his talent and dedication at such a young age. Whether his career in tattooing will continue to grow remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—he has already left a lasting impression on the industry.
