In a social media post, user Tushar shared the ordeal of his friend who was unable to find any available cab, auto-rickshaw, or ride-sharing service during the traffic chaos. As a result, Tushar’s friend resorted to walking a staggering 12 kilometers through the congested streets to reach his home.
Tushar’s post read, “My friend walked 12 km back home in Bangalore today. He wasn’t getting any cabs/autos/rapido or anything else. Quality of life even for the top 1% after having all the means is only hitting lows & lows in this city.”
Alongside his post, Tushar included a screenshot from a health monitoring app, which displayed that a person had covered a distance of 11.85 kilometers in 195 minutes. This incident, shared on September 27, quickly gained widespread attention, amassing over two lakh views and nearly 2,000 likes.
