Ana Knezevich, a US citizen originally from Colombia, has disappeared under mysterious circumstances in Spain, leaving her loved ones deeply concerned. Knezevich, who was in the midst of a contentious divorce, reportedly sent some perplexing messages to her family and friends before vanishing without a trace.
According to reports, Knezevich was last seen by neighbors on February 2, with her friend Sanna Rameau revealing that she received no response to a text she sent on the day of her disappearance. However, the following day, Knezevich messaged Rameau claiming to have met a man on the street with whom she felt an instant connection. She informed Rameau that they were heading to a country home two hours from Madrid and promised to call once she returned, citing poor cell signal.
Concerned for Knezevich’s safety, Rameau urged her to share the address of her destination and questioned the wisdom of traveling with a stranger. Rameau later expressed skepticism about the messages, suggesting that they may not have been sent by Knezevich herself and speculating that she may have been taken against her will.
Family members also received unusual messages in Spanish, further fueling suspicions about Knezevich’s disappearance. Her relatives have since reached out to Spanish authorities, prompting an investigation into the case.
Knezevich’s brother, Felipe Henao, expressed frustration over the lack of collaboration between US and Spanish law enforcement, emphasizing the urgency of the situation as an American citizen remains missing abroad.
Meanwhile, surveillance footage from Knezevich’s building revealed a mysterious individual wearing a black helmet, tampering with security cameras, adding to the sense of alarm and anxiety among her loved ones.
Rameau, determined to find answers, traveled to Madrid to meet with Spanish authorities and has called on American officials to provide assistance in locating Knezevich. She emphasized the pressing need for action, stressing that time is of the essence in bringing Knezevich home safely.
