As the Israel-Gaza conflict continues to unfold, a chilling message from senior Hamas Commander Mahmoud al-Zahar has come to light, revealing ambitions of global supremacy. In a video that has gone viral on the internet, al-Zahar states that Israel is merely the beginning of their conquest, and they aim to extend their influence across the entire world.
“The entire planet will be under our law,” al-Zahar declares in the video, which was translated and published by MEMRI TV in December 2022. He continues, “The entire 510 million square kilometers of Planet Earth will come under a system where there is no injustice, no oppression, and no killings and crimes like those being committed against the Palestinians and against the Arabs in all the Arab countries, in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and other countries.”
This unsettling message comes at a time when Israel has declared war against Hamas in response to a shocking weekend attack that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Israelis. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to al-Zahar’s declaration, reaffirming his commitment to defeating Hamas.
“Hamas is Daesh (the Islamic State group), and we will crush them and destroy them as the world has destroyed Daesh,” Netanyahu stated in a brief televised message. He further declared that every member of the Palestinian group was “a dead man.”
In the midst of this intensifying conflict, Hamas operatives have taken Israeli soldiers and civilians hostage, threatening to execute a captive for each Gaza home hit without warning by Israel. As of now, there is no confirmation that Hamas has carried out this threat.
Israel, in response to the ongoing crisis, has established an emergency unity government with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Benny Gantz sitting in a war cabinet. He stated, “All of Israel is under Order Number 8 (the order sent to reservists for an emergency wartime call-up),” highlighting the need for such unity in government during these critical times.
