In a horrifying crime that has left Switzerland in shock, former Miss Switzerland finalist Kristina Joksimovic was allegedly murdered and her body dismembered by her husband, Thomas, Swiss officials revealed. The 38-year-old former model was found dead on February 13 in the laundry room of her home in Binningen, a town located southwest of Basel, according to reports from Sky News.
Authorities investigating the case concluded that Joksimovic had been strangled before her death. Her 41-year-old husband, referred to as Thomas in local media, was arrested after confessing to the crime. Investigators Reject Self-Defence Claim
Despite Thomas’s confession of self-defence, medical-forensic reports have cast doubt on this version of events. Authorities found “concrete indications of a mental illness” in Thomas and described him as having “sadistic tendencies.” Investigators noted the “remarkably high level of criminal energy, lack of empathy, and cold-bloodedness” he displayed in the aftermath of his wife’s murder.
Prosecutors also uncovered a troubling history of domestic violence, revealing that Thomas had previously strangled Kristina in another incident. Additionally, a former partner of Thomas came forward, claiming that he had once violently grabbed the beauty queen by the neck and slammed her head against a wall.
