The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday the successful elimination of Hamas terrorist Ahmed Hassan Salame Alsauarka, a senior figure and Commander in the Hamas Nukhba Forces. The operation, carried out by the Israeli Air Force, targeted Alsauarka based on intelligence from the IDF and the Israel Security Agency (ISA).
Ahmed Alsauarka was known for his role in highly coordinated attacks, including the October 7 massacre in Southern Israel, where Hamas forces infiltrated Israeli communities, resulting in significant casualties. The targeted strike occurred in the Beit Hanoun area of northern Gaza, where Alsauarka had been directing sniper activities and participating in attacks against Israeli troops and communities.
The IDF released a video of the operation, showcasing a precision airstrike that eliminated the terrorist. The military emphasized that measures were taken to minimize harm to civilians, with no civilian injuries reported in the strike.
In ongoing operations, Israeli forces are focusing on eliminating immediate threats and destroying terrorist infrastructure. Recent actions included targeting and destroying a mortar shell launch site used to attack Israeli troops. Additionally, two other terrorists posing direct threats were also neutralized using targeted missiles.
Currently, IDF troops are conducting targeted operations in the Rafah area, employing close-quarters combat to eliminate terrorists and locate rocket launchers during specific raids.
The IDF reiterated its commitment to conducting precise, intelligence-based operations aimed at minimizing civilian casualties while effectively targeting terrorist threats.
