An 11-year-old student in Florida, identified as Carlo ‘Kingston’ Dorelli, has been arrested for allegedly making threats of school shootings and displaying a collection of weapons during a FaceTime call with classmates. The arrest was made on Monday by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
According to an arrest affidavit, Dorelli, a student at Creekside Middle School, reportedly boasted about carrying out shootings at two schools while showing off a significant stockpile of firearms and knives. The incident comes in the wake of a recent school shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia, where a 14-year-old was charged with killing two students and two teachers.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office discovered a collection of over a dozen Airsoft guns, knives, and swords at Dorelli’s home. These items were subsequently displayed in a video released by the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff Michael Chitwood emphasized the department’s commitment to addressing such threats, stating, “Since parents don’t want to raise your kids, I’m going to start raising them. Every time we make an arrest, your kid’s photo is going to be put out there. And if I can do it, I’m going to perp walk your kid, so everybody can see what your kid’s up to.”
